Jon Christopher Davis is a multi-published Dallas singer songwriter and indie recording artist. His songs have been recorded by Dolly Parton, Hal Ketchum, Timothy B. Schmit (Eagles), Billy Ray Cyrus, Sherrie Austin, Tammy Cochran and Rodney Atkins, to name a few. “Little Bird,” recorded by Sherrie Austin, peaked at number 4 on Billboard’s Top Country Singles Sales Chart.
“Lone Star Attitude” was a top 40 hit that later transitioned into a trademarked brand (Lone Star Attitude® western apparel stores at DFW International Airport, C-33 & E-35, and LSA Burger Co. in Denton, TX). “The Bottom Line” was praised by USA Today – “One of the most intriguing tracks from the past, present and near future. A catchy rant about video killing radio stars and resultant superficialities.” Both songs appear on his 2006 debut.
The Dallas singer songwriter has recorded for Warner Brothers, Sony, MCA and Palo Duro Records. His country-rock sound has been featured on/in ABC, CBS, FOX, CMT, the Style Network, Pentagon Network, CW Network, Oxygen Channel, USA Today, Billboard Magazine, the Washington Post and Huffington Post.
His most notable collaborations include Vince Gill, Radney Foster, Rodney Crowell, Steve Lukather (Toto), Stan Lynch (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), and mega-hit producers, Dann Huff (Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban) and David Z (Prince, Jonny Lang).
As a studio session singer, his voice has been featured on over 500 commercials for brands, such as TXU Energy, Ford and American Country Countdown (hosted by Kix Brooks).
As a performer, the Dallas singer songwriter has shared the concert stage with Jack Ingram, Radney Foster, Rodney Crowell, Hal Ketchum, Joe Ely, Lyle Lovett, Poco, Michael McDonald, Train, Daughtry, The Roots (Jimmy Fallon’s house band), Uncle Kracker, Eddie Money, Kansas, REO Speedwagon and many others.
