USA TODAY chose JCD's song, "The Bottom Line," as one of the most intriguing tracks from the present, the past and the near future. The Dean of Country Music critics, Robert K. Oermann, had this to say about JCD's 2006 debut release - "I'm a huge fan of this young man's album. Its second single sizzles with zesty rhythm, yelping vocals, sidewinder guitar and a ridiculously catchy melody. The major-label stars on Music Row have nothing on this guy!"
In 2008, his hit song, "Lone Star Attitude®," turned into a hit brand. Next time you're walking through DFW International Airport's terminal C, stop by gate 33 and pay the Lone Star Attitude® store a visit. You can't miss it -- it's the largest store in the terminal. Baby Looks Good on You®, another brand born out of a JCD song, is also making waves around the world - BabyLooksGoodOnYou.com. Also, in 2008, JCD and Deryl Dodd released the patriotic song, "The Boy I Left Behind." It is now the official theme song for the American Fallen Soldiers Project. JCD has performed the emotional tribute to the troops on ABC, CBS, the Pentagon Network as well as the USS Intrepid in New York City.
In 2009, JCD became the state-wide voice for TXU Energy. In 2010, he released Demos from the Vault (1999-2009). The 25 song collection is now available at iTunes.
